Electronic Handwheel Simplifies Retooling

The HR 1120 electronic handwheel from Heidenhain Corporation simplifies retooling and setup processes in machine automation systems where changing formats or positioning objects with numerous axes is necessary. The handwheel is used in association with a machine control.

Despite its compact dimensions, the HR 1120 electronic handwheel is appropriate for both portable and stationery housings. The mechanical detent allows precise and exact control of movement with 100 positions per revolution. The electrical signal output at TTL levels with differential signals, as per RS422, allows connection to various standard programmable logic controllers and PC slot cards.
