Ceratizit Acquires Newcomer Products

Ceratizit acquired Newcomer Products, Inc, a privately owned manufacturer of carbide tungsten products for metal cutting and wear applications, effective July 10.

"The Newcomer acquisition meets our objective for sustainable global growth through expansion in the NAFTA countries and Asia," comments CERATIZIT spokesman Jacques Lanners.

Newcomer is the third site of CERATIZIT in the U.S.

Newcomer Products is supplies carbide enhancements from water-based spray dried powders to sinter-hip technology and reported sales of more than $20 million dollars in 2006. 

Nate K. Parker Jr., chairman of Newcomer Products says, "We were looking for a partner withstrong technological support and both a global view and strong roots in the US. Clearly,CERATIZIT is one of the rising stars in the business and they wanted to build up their presence in the US."

CERATIZIT is a supplier hard material solutions, mostly for the automotive industry, mechanical, engineering, oil industry, medical systems, electronics as well as mould and die making.
