B&R Releases Stepper Motor Series

B&R Industrial Automation recently released the new 80MPF series stepper motors with 60 mm flange. These stepper motors have 25 percent more torque and 30 percent less power loss and are suited for applications with high clock rates like packaging machines or filling systems. When designing the new 80MPF series, special attention was given to ensuring that the installation flange is compatible with existing 56 mm motors from the 80MPD series. For this reason, the mounting holes on the two motors series are identical. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials, the new stepper motors, like all B&R motors, are extremely robust and have a long lifespan, according to the company's press release. Stepper motor bearings are key components when it comes to reliability in harsh environmental conditions. Years of experience with servo motors and feedback from many customers were put to use during implementation. The seals on the bearings ensure optimum protection from contamination and moisture. The new 80MPF series provides IP30 protection as standard. With an optional cover, IP65 protection is achieved. Depending on requirements, the 60 mm motors can also be equipped with an ABR encoder, an SSI encoder and/or a motor brake.
