Bosch Rexroth Highlights Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies

Bosch Rexroth recently highlighted new drive and actuation technology during the Hydrogen Technology Expo 2024 in Houston. This exhibition and conference examined advanced technologies for the hydrogen and fuel cell industry.

Bosch Rexroth's drive portfolio includes highly efficient complete systems in the form of servo hydraulic axes (SHA). These particularly compact solutions concentrate a variable-speed drive comprising a servo motor, hydraulic pump, control block, synchronous cylinder and minimal oil volume in a very small space. Customer-specific compressors are mounted on the cylinder itself and can be used with both hydrogen and other types of gases.

Rexroth’s eSEA Push is a series of all-electric actuators that can continuously operate any linear subsea process valves without compromising safety and efficiency. Rexroth eSEA Push actuators combine electrification with standardization and digitalization to improve cost, avoid downtime, and achieving high safety and reliability performance with a precise motion control. The eSEA portfolio – including not only eSEA Push, but also eSEA Torque and eSEA Drive – is a reliable product family for any all-electric subsea valve operation. The actuators are ready to be installed in greenfield and brownfield applications for offshore energy, or for new building blocks needed to accelerate the energy transition such as carbon storage (CCUS) and green hydrogen (H2) production offshore.
