Bonfiglioli acquired Tecnoingranaggi, a Bologna-based supplier of planetary gear units. According to the company's press release, this acquisition is part of Bonfiglioli's continuing quest to become a turnkey supplier. Tecnoingranaggi specializes in the production of planetary gear reducer units, which are suitable for applications such as packaging, woodworking machinery and positioners. Through its other recent acquisition of Vectron Elektronick, Bonfiglioli hopes to expand its product offering to position itself as a global system supplier for various industrial sectors.
