Bison Announces New Electrical Engineering Manager

Bruce Ashe was recently promoted to electrical engineering manager for the Bison Gear & Engineering Corp. In this position, Ashe will be responsible for the maintenance of AC and DC product lines, and manage product development for the motor lines. Ashe joined Bison in January 2006 with 12 years of experience in AC motor design for HVACR markets. According to the company’s press release, his innovations include a sensor-less, electronically commutated BLDC motor for the refrigeration industry, and an axial flux, BLDC prototype motor for Bison’s SBIR grant from the National Science Foundation. Ashe graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in electrical engineering.
