AutomationDirect Adds IronHorse Aluminum Worm Gearboxes with IEC Input

IronHorse worm gearboxes with IEC inputs offer all the same features and advantages as our existing aluminum models, including 30 mm to 75 mm frame sizes, 10:1 to 100:1 ratios in most sizes, and maintenance free operation. They are factory filled with synthetic oil and their double lip oil seals prevent leakage. These new models offer IEC input flange types B5 and B14 in order to fit IEC motors in frame sizes 63, 71, 80, and 90.

Just like their NEMA input counterparts, they offer hollow shaft outputs, with single or double output shafts available as accessories, and a hardened worm shaft for increased durability.

Aluminum worm gearboxes are a lower cost, lower weight alternative to stainless steel and cast-iron models. They are ideal for medium-duty applications that have a less frequent run rate or can justify a shorter service life.
