Dr.-Ing. Mareike Solf studied mechanical engineer-ing with a focus on production technology at RWTH Aachen University. Having worked as a student research assistant in the department of Gear Technology of the Laboratory for Machine Tools (WZL) for more than three years, she became a research assistant in 2016. Her research focused on grinding and 5-axis-milling of bevel and cylindrical gears. After leading the Gear Hard Machining Research Group since early 2019, she became Chief Engineer for Gear Manufacturing in November 2021. In 2022 she completed her Ph.D. on the topic of bevel gear grinding.
