Atlanta Drive Showcases Rack and Pinion Drives at IMTS

Atlant Drive Systems, Inc. will showcase their expanded range of rack and pinion drives, consisting of both helical & straight (spur) tooth versions during IMTS 2006. According to the company’s press release, the drives are suitable for a wide range of applications, including axis drives requiring precise positioning and repeatability, traveling gantries and columns, pick and place robots, and material handling systems. Heavy load capacities and duty cycles can also be handled with this drives. Industries served include material handling, automation, aerospace, woodworking, machine tool and robotics. The product range consists of metric pitches from module 1.0 to 16.0, with linear force capacities of up to 31,000 lb. Rack segment lengths up to 3.00 meters are available standard, with unlimited travels lengths possible by mounting segments end-to-end. Quality levels include soft, induction-hardened, quenched and tempered and hardened & ground (AGMA 12).
