Applimotion Offers Custom Motor Assemblies

Applimotion offers custom direct drive motor assemblies with its popular ULT, UTH, UTS and UTO brushless frameless motor kits inside. These assemblies typically include precision bearings, special encoders, special mounting features, and cabling to provide you with a low profile direct drive solution. With sizes ranging from 10 mm to 500 mm in diameter, pancake profiles as low as 10 mm and large through holes, a custom direct drive solution may be the best approach to your automation needs covering torque from .1 to 1000 NM.

These custom direct drive motors are typically used in automated inspection, metrology, material handling, medical diagnostics, as well as robotics and factory automation. A unique feature to these direct drive solutions is the ability to cover a wide range of speeds, even high speed which is not typical for direct drive motors, to very low sub-rpm speeds. Having sold thousands of frameless motor kits to customers building their own custom direct drive assemblies, Applimotion knows the critical path decisions and design options to optimize performance and minimize costs.

Applimotion engineers are experienced in selecting bearings and precision mechanics so the motor will fit into your unique product or machine. Feedback options range from low cost magnetic encoders to high accuracy optical or rugged inductive sensing encoders. Special cables and connectors are also part of the solution and can be defined by the customer.
