Aerotech Introduces New Gantry System

The ASGS1000 Series Cartesian gantry system from Aerotech is designed for a range of automation platforms like high-speed pick-and-place, automated assembly, vision inspection, dispensing stations and high accuracy inspection. According to the company’s press release, the system contains brushless linear servomotors that can achieve speeds of 2 m/s and accelerations of 2 g. Resolution options range from 10 N-m to 1.0 オm. Additionally, since the linear motor is a noncontact device, there is no backlash, wear or maintenance. Bearings are preloaded linear motion guides with wiper seals and grease fittings.
