Advanced Heat Treat Installing $1.5 Million Large Capacity Ion Nitriding Vessel

Advanced Heat Treat Corp. is installing one of the world's largest ion nitriding vessels in their new Cullman, AL service center, currently under construction, which will open in the spring of 2007. It will be used to harden production components and large tooling and stamping dies for the automotive and aerospace industries. The total cost for the complete system exceeds $1.5 million, according to the company's press release. The chamber of the new vessel will have a 60,000 pound capacity and a work zone of 110" wide x 32" high x 240" long. The cooling system will be designed to improve production turnaround time. AHT recently announced the construction of the $7 million Cullman service center and a major expansion to their Burton Ave. facility in Waterloo, IA, which is near their corporate headquarters service center. AHT recently completed another major expansion at its Monroe, MI location.
