Bosch Rexroth and Modine are collaborating to bring Modine EVantage thermal management systems to the Bosch Rexroth portfolio of eLION products for electrified off-highway machinery worldwide. Together, Rexroth eLION systems with Modine EVantage thermal management systems advance the electrification of customer platforms in the off-highway segment by delivering low emissions and high-performance EV technology.
Bosch Rexroth recently announced the grand opening of its new Hydraulics Training Center which opened on Sept. 20 at 2315 City Line Road Bethlehem, PA. This state-of-the-art training center provides a dynamic space for individuals to embark on a journey of learning and growth.
With the VarioFlow plus chain conveyor system, Bosch Rexroth supplies an essential component for flexible and economical transport within a plant. It conveys packed and unpacked goods vertically and horizontally in the smallest possible space. Together, with the spiral transport system from smartPac Srl, manufacturers benefit from a continuous spiral transport system with low commissioning and maintenance costs.
Bosch Rexroth offers manufacturers of off-highway machines free access to the entire standard portfolio of BODAS software for controlling mobile machines. Via the digital myBODAS platform, OEMs can download validated software packages for a range of applications free-of-charge to test them and adapt them to suit their own requirements.
With the unique combination of a sensor system and kinematics working independently in six degrees of freedom, the Smart Flex Effector compensation module gives industrial robots a sense of touch similar to that of a human hand. It thus allows the automation of processes that were previously difficult to manage or could only be performed manually. The innovation was honored at Hannover Messe with the Hermes Award 2023, the most prestigious international industry prize. The Smart Flex Effector increases the range of applications for robots because it sensitively compensates for tolerances in real time. Users can thus automate joining process, complicated assembly movements or difficult handling tasks. The compensation module can also be retrofitted in existing robotic applications.
Hägglunds hydraulic drive systems are a familiar presence in the mining and mineral processing industries, as well as in related materials handling applications. Compact, gearless and utterly reliable, they offer significant advantages over their electromechanical counterparts. Those advantages continue to grow stronger, and the range of possibilities they create is set to expand.
Small component, significant impact: The Smart Flex Effector, a new, sensor-based compensation module from Bosch Rexroth, gives robots and Cartesian linear systems human-like sensitivity and thus offers new opportunities for factory automation. Processes that are difficult to manage can now be automated, optimized and monitored through simple retrofitting. Thanks to a kinematics system that works independently in six degrees of freedom, the tactile device with sensitive touch precisely records the position of the work piece and passes the information to the robot control unit for active compensation purposes.
The products and solutions Hägglunds will showcase at MINEXCHANGE leverage the unique characteristics of hydraulic direct drive technology — delivering power directly to the drive shaft with full torque from zero speed and protection from shock loads — to maximize the efficiency and uptime of conveyors, feeders, crushers, drums, bucket wheel reclaimers, kilns and more.
After receiving approval from the antitrust authorities, Bosch Rexroth has completed the acquisition of hydraulic specialist HydraForce on February 3. The acquisition of the Lincolnshire, Illinois (USA) based company was announced in July 2022. It strengthens Bosch Rexroth's footprint in North America and expands its distribution network to provide customers with a wide range of compact hydraulics solutions on a global scale.
