Bearing Specialty Company Launches New Brand and Logo

June 17, 2016
BSC Industries, a regional, national and international distributor of bearings, power transmission, stepper and servo motors, electrical products and integrated control systems today introduced the company’s new corporate brand and logo. The rebranding reflects the continuing growth and evolution of the company’s product and service offering as well as its vision for the future.

“We started out as a small store front operation just after the first world war,” says James Fitzpatrick, president of BSC Industries. “By the 60’s we were 20 people. In the last five years we’ve grown to over 60 people operating from seven locations. We’re supplying not only physical products but a range of engineering, clean room, and manufacturing services that are really exceptional in our industry.”

BSC Industries is one of a very small number of suppliers who have the ability to provide customers a unique combination of engineering and value added services including custom lubrication in a Class 10,000 clean room, electro-mechanical sub-assembly, engineering and application development and integrated control systems.

“With the expansion of the electrical product offering along with the addition of the integrated control systems division, it became evident that our name did not fit with our scope.” said Peter Fitzpatrick, treasurer of BSC Industries. “We wanted to establish new branding for the company that really reflected our product and service offering and also conveyed that this company is a growing, dynamic part of product design, development, and manufacturing not only in the northeast but also on a national and international basis.”

Today BSC Industries sells products and provides engineering and value added services from its locations in Canton, MA, Providence, RI, Nashua, NH, Worcester, MA, Windsor Locks, CT, Williston, VT, and Westbrook, ME. In 2008 BSC Industries acquired Machine Parts Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of integrated control systems. The company has further expanded its electrical products offering to include motor controls, machine safety, and other electrical automation and control products.

“We have done an excellent job in representing manufacturers of stepper and servo motors, precision gear motors, and other electrical products. It made sense for us to follow “the wire” so to speak, adding contactors, terminal blocks, enclosures, and related products.” said Fitzpatrick.

Founded in 1919, BSC Industries has grown to seven locations and 60+ employees. BSC Industries is the region’s leading supplier of bearings, power transmission products, electrical products and integrated control systems in addition to providing engineering, manufacturing and other services.

BSC Industries new logo evokes progress, motion and dynamic energy. BSC Industries tagline “World Class Products—Engineered Solutions” represents the company’s commitment to offer not only the best products but also the engineering support and services needed to ensure their customer’s success.
