Two of the global manufacturing industry’s premier organizations, AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology and Mesago, a subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt Group, today announced a collaboration to create the Automation Sector at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show in 2024, and SPS – Smart Production Solutions in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2025.

Smartforce Student Summit Returns to IMTS 2022

Produced by the Smartforce Development team of AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, which owns and operates IMTS, the Student Summit brings together students from elementary school through college, scout troops, robotics and STEM clubs, home-schooled students, and educators of all levels to explore the latest Industry 4.0 digital technologies driving manufacturing today.

Hannover Messe USA Goes Digital

There would have been an incredible lineup of products and technologies in Chicago in the Hannover Messe USA pavilion at IMTS 2020 -- everything from cobots and smart factory automation solutions to digital twins and mechanical power transmission components. Unfortunately, the planet had other ideas this year and we continue to conduct business on laptops, smartphones and Zoom meetings for the foreseeable future.

Kate, a sophomore studying engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, has a genuine interest in manufacturing, so it was natural that she attend IMTS. But the other three? My kids? Well, let’s just say that their interests lie elsewhere. Matt, also a sophomore, is studying business at UW-Platteville. Emily, a sophomore in high school, wants to join the Peace Corps. Renee, an eighth grader, wants to be a surgeon.
