LogiMat, May 31 - June 2 in Stuttgart, Germany, provides attendees with a comprehensive review of all the main themes in the logistics sector, from procurement to production and deliveries. Digitalization, interconnectivity, artificial intelligence, and big data are key issues in the age of Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. Advances in IT and technology and smart, autonomous systems offer added value along the entire supply chain. Tools such as virtual reality, 3D printing, and sensors are offering new perspectives. Data exchange in real time is providing an opportunity to react flexibly to changes and adjust – both in production and in the warehouse. The following is a brief preview of LogiMat (logimat-messe.de).
Bonfiglioli Presents Logistics and Traction Technology
Bonfiglioli (Hall 10, Booth D35) will be presenting intralogistics and process management solutions for forklifts, warehousing, and automatic storage. The company has developed a wide range of steering and traction systems suitable for all-electric forklifts ranging from 1.5 to 16 tons. Framo Morat Offers AGV Technology
Framo Morat (Hall 2, Booth A32) will discuss its highly integrated wheel hub drive for automated guided vehicle systems which combines all functional elements such as wheel, planetary gear, electric motor as well as brake and electronics in one all-inclusive solution. This modular and scalable system boasts high performance in a compact design and lets users make adaptations to the load capacity, torque, interfaces, sensor system and control profiles. The full range for intralogistics is completed by the NG250 and NG500 platform hub gears, toothed drive shafts for electric industrial trucks, planetary gears for conveyor technology or the customized safety gate drive for high-bay warehouses.
Neugart Introduces Planetary Gearboxes for AGVs
Neugart (Hall 2, Booth C15) provides gearbox solutions to fulfill application-specific requirements in an optimum way. AGVs are designed to transport heavy loads on a continuous basis. The specific structural and mechanical demands are extremely high. NGV planetary gearboxes from Neugart offer compact design, efficiency and durability. They have specifically optimized them for use in AGVs.
SEW-EURODRIVE Offers Material Handling and Loading Systems
For lifting and lowering applications, SEW EURODRIVE (Hall 7, Booth D09) offers specially developed G..7 gearmotors as hoist drives. These gear units have a larger center distance, which makes it possible to use large drum diameters and thus shorter drums. In terms of FEM grouping and the specifications relating to hoist load and lifting speed, the units were designed specifically to be used in hoists. The G..7 hoist gear units are available in five sizes for hoist loads of 2 – 80 metric tons and lifting speeds of 0.5 – 9.7 m/min with 4/1 reeving. They are finely stepped for precise adaptation to the required lifting speed. The drives are equipped with either 0.25/1.8 kW – 3.0/18 kW multi-speed 12/2-pole motors or 1.1 kW – 30 kW 4-pole motors for inverter operation. The hoist drives can be used for a variety of drum diameters, depending on the size of the gear unit. Their aluminum housing reduces the total trolley mass to be moved.
The company will discuss its materials handling and storage technology, automation and control, lifts, conveyors, hydraulic platforms, lifting tables, adjustable ramps, crane systems, conveyor systems and more during the show. Drive technology will include engines, motors, gearboxes and clutches.
Kollmorgen Introduces Autonomous Vehicle Solutions
