Kollmorgen will exhibit its innovative motion solutions at Pack Expo, November 6 - 9, 2016, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Visitors to booth N-5908 can expect to see demonstrations of Kollmorgen’s hygienic solutions for food and beverage manufacturers, and learn how they can reduce the risk of food recall and cleaning time while increasing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Kollmorgen will also feature its complete and interoperable packaging solutions, including mechatronic systems, wash-down capable motors, decentralized drives, high-performance communications options and integrated development tools.
Highlighted products will include AKMHTM Hygienic Servo Motors, PMXTM Series Stepper Motors, the AKD-N multi-axis servo system and the PCMMTM Standalone Motion Controller. Additional Kollmorgen motors with food/beverage and packaging applications (among many others) include the TBM (Torquer Brushless Motor) and KBMTM Series frameless motors, designed for high power and performance in a compact space. Both the TBM and KBM Series can be directly embedded in the machine, using the machine’s own bearings to support the rotor. The PMDC (Permanent Magnet DC Motor) uses permanent magnets to enable a lighter, more compact and efficient motor with a wider speed range an exceptionally linear speed/torque curve. For harsh environments, Kollmorgen offers explosion proof motors and the expertise to help machine builders meet the requirements for ATEX certification.
