Voith Turbo North America, an industry-leading provider of mechanical driveline equipment and components, has announced quick-time delivery of its mid-size u-joint type drive shafts and repair components for the company’s North American customers.

“Using quick-time delivery, we’ve lowered North American delivery times from seven months to seven weeks,” said Voith Turbo Vice President of Coupling Technologies Paul Barlow. Barlow also noted that adjusting the delivery process and the warehousing locations has greatly increased efficiency.

“The York Pennsylvania warehouse will stock all of the components for drive shafts in the 198-to-550-millimeter diameter size range, and they can be ready for delivery within weeks with expedited delivery also possible,” Barlow reported.

Voith Turbo provides a wide range of parts and solutions including complete u-joint shafts, connection and torsionally flexible couplings, Safeset torque limiters, permanent and temporary driveline torque monitoring systems, as well as transmissions, axle drives, torque converters, and hydrostatic pumps. These components are vital for a wide variety of industries and applications, including metal processing, recycling, mining, transportation, rail, and test-rig equipment.

The drive shafts feature a robust modular design, a universal fit and increased torque capacities which are as much as 20 percent higher than equivalent competitor products.
