Bison Gear Announces Personnel Changes

April 26, 2016

In a move to strengthen their independent board as they continue to further diversify their product and service capabilities, Bison is pleased to announce that Jack De Leon and Richard Drexler have accepted positions on Bison's board of directors. Both gentlemen have extensive leadership experience in the industry and will help guide the organization as Bison expands into new markets.

De Leon is a leader in manufacturing and engineering with 32 years of experience in aerospace & defense, automotive, food & beverage and industrial equipment markets. He has held executive level positions at Lord Corporation, Rockwell Automation and Texas instruments where he specialized in business strategy and development.

Drexler draws from 46+ years of experience working as a leader in manufacturing. During that time, he has served as president and CEO of Allied Products Corporation and chairman of the board for Quality Products Corporation. He also currently serves on the board for Prince Industries and GTI.

"We are pleased to welcome Jack and Richard to our Board," said Ron Bullock, Bison chairman and CEO. "We expect their combined experience will provide tremendous insight and guidance going forward."

Additionally, George Thomas has expanded his role as executive vice president - operations. In addition to supply chain and operations, Thomas adds plant support and sustaining engineering to his responsibilities. Thomas and his team's objectives center on operational excellence as they create focused value streams to ensure that Bison is meeting the customers' quality and on-time delivery expectations. With his background in engineering and operations, and with more than 30 years at Bison, Thomas is well positioned to ensure Bison delivers on their commitments to their customers.

John Burch has been named executive vice president - go to market. In this new role, Burch maintains responsibility for product management and strategic marketing, while adding new product development, sales and customer service to create a market driven, customer focused team tasked with understanding and exceeding customers' expectations. Burch's more than 25 years of experience leading various business units in North America and Europe will serve him well as he and his team focus on supporting customers and growing Bison's global sales footprint.

Both Thomas and Burch will report to Ron Bullock as he resumes his role as CEO of Bison, in addition to continuing to chair their board of directors. "As a team, we are committed to our customers. Creating value that enable our customers to be more successful in their markets is the key to sustained growth," states Bullock. "We are confident that these changes will enable us to do just that."
