Manufactured for tolerance up to 3 decimal places, every part is put to the acid test via an individual part inspection. All important geometrical characteristics of the clamping elements are checked via a 3-D inspection machine and recorded in a test certificate. A microscope is used to check for any burrs or chips and a cast iron leak test makes sure a part can withstand pressures up to 600 bar.
The design of the Kostyrka clamping sleeve is based on simplicity. Clamp what is round. Hold tight and release, reaction-free and secured through the development of an adherence-actuated shaft-hub joint able to transmit great forces, open and close at lightening speed and be as compact as possible. They consist of a longitudinally slitted metal cylinder in combination with a synthetic material and hydraulic oil as the pressure medium. Simple, yet powerful. The extremely high holding forces of Kostyrka clamping sleeves result by applying oil pressure to the sleeve jacket. The sleeves spring back elastically to their starting position after the oil pressure is removed, and the clamped part is released. The surfaces of the clamped part are not damaged with this adherence-actuated form of power transmission.
Kostyrka clamping sleeves are available with an inner diameter ranging from 6 to over 1800 mm and lengths up to 900 mm and more for operating pressures up to 600 bar offering flexibility in a broad range of components.
