Gleason Expands India Presence with New Bangalore Facility

Since the establishment of its first facility in Bangalore in 1996, Gleason’s presence in India has expanded rapidly to keep pace with the country’s remarkable industrial growth. Now, a much larger, ultra-modern new facility in Bangalore is poised to help Gleason’s fast-growing India customer base take full advantage of more resources and greater capacity to meet customer requirements now and well into the future.  

The new 62,000 sq. ft. facility Aerospace Park, Devanahalli, Bangalore, India will be unveiled at a Grand Opening and In-House Gear Technology Seminar on August 17 and 18. Attendees will have an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the many capabilities now available to them, and to participate in the Grand Opening Gear Technology Seminar, including speakers from academia and other international experts to gain unique insight into new gear manufacturing technologies. Visitors also will have an opportunity to see the new India-built Gleason Soft Finishing Manufacturing Cell, destined for use in the two- and four-wheeler industry.

Included among the many resources available at the new Bangalore facility are: Genesis Series machine assembly and re-manufacturing, the premiere of the new SVP Series Shaving Machine (made in India), GMS Inspection System assembly, bevel gear cutting tools manufacturing for global export, shaving cutter manufacturing (sharpening and grinding), complete sharpening and coating for many types of bevel and cylindrical cutting tools, comprehensive array of training programs, spare and repair parts and customized service programs and technical support.
