December 14, 2015

Boston Gear has added new mounted bearing designs and universal joints to its line of stainless steel shaft accessories designed for superior performance in high pressure food processing and packaging washdown applications.

The stainless steel mounted bearing line now includes setscrew locking 3-bolt flange brackets and wide slot take up units available in a range of bore sizes. All models feature cast 304 stainless steel housings, 440C stainless steel inserts and NSF H1 food grade grease. Synthetic lip seals with a stainless steel flinger provide superior protection in high pressure washdown conditions.

New JS Series pin and block type stainless steel universal joints are also available. Units feature 303 stainless steel construction and can be made-to-order with either precision machined bores or solid hubs. JS Series U-joints are designed for connecting shafts at angles up to 30 degrees and speeds up to 2000 RPM.
