Liebherr Offers Components at Hannover Messe

April 7, 2011

Liebherr recently introduced new, internally developed components from its range of high-performance drive equipment and high-quality electronics systems at Hannover Messe. In addition to the wide variety of construction machines, Liebherr components have many other fields of application such as mining equipment, automotive technology and transportation systems as well as alternative energy systems, e.g. block-type thermal power stations and, increasingly, wind turbines. Engines, motors, hydraulic components, large diameter bearings, gearboxes and winches as well as electronic components for many application areas were exhibited at the trade show.

Liebherr's new series-produced range of slewing drives also made its debut at Hannover Messe. It includes a total of eight coaxial planetary gearboxes that are available with a multitude of different gear ratios. The smallest gearbox has a dynamic torque of 8,000 Nm and the largest can produce a dynamic torque of 142,000 Nm. With its new model range, Liebherr offers a standardized alternative to its custom-manufactured planetary gearboxes. Another focal point at the Liebherr stand is the presentation of components that have been specially designed for mining equipment.
