Brushless 8 mm Motor Produced to Rigid Medical Standard

June 15, 2010

Maxon's brushless DC 8 mm motor offers continuous current up to 0.95 mNm, nominal speed up to 80,000 rpm and a 70 percent efficiency rating. The motor is available with or without Hall sensors and with 6, 12 and 24 volt windings. It can be combined with the planetary gearhead GP 8A. One-quadrant amplifiers serve as controllers; the DEC 24/1, directly connected via flexprint and the DEC Module 24/2, a miniature plug-in module.

The motor was produced according to the rigid medical standard ISO 13485. It is appropriate for various applications such as sampling robotics, portable analyzers, metering systems, instrumentation or inspection robots.
