SPS Guangzhou 2017 Looks to Bolster Automation Industry in China

November 15, 2016

SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF), the sister event of SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg, Germany, is scheduled to take place March 1-3 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. The three-day show will highlight a wide variety of robotics, machine vision products, sensors and measurement tools, connectivity systems, drive systems, control technologies and more. Continuing its success from the 2016 edition, the upcoming show aims to help industry players unlock greater business opportunities within various sectors of the industrial automation industry.

Commenting on the upcoming show, Louis Leung, deputy general manager of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, said: “Since the introduction of Made in China 2025, China’s version of Industry 4.0, the manufacturing industry has been undergoing rapid change. This in turn creates ample opportunities for smart industrial automation products and solutions providers in China and beyond. The 2017 edition expects to attract over 500 exhibitors and more than 50,000 professional visitors to conduct trade across 40,000 sqm of exhibition space. China’s rapidly developing economy and fast-growing manufacturing industry are creating huge demand for smarter and advanced industrial automation technologies, and the fair’s significance has never been greater. I am optimistic about the show’s growth and its contribution to the development of the industry as a whole.”

Recognizing the importance of and growth prospects in China’s markets, exhibitors are eager to present their latest innovative solutions and products to both international and domestic professionals. To date, the 2017 show has attracted over 400 reputable industrial automation brands from across the world. Leading companies confirmed for the upcoming edition include Adtech, Autonics, Balluff, Baumer, Beckhoff, Cognex, Contrinex, Denso, Estun, EtherCAT, Harting, ifm, Pepperl+Fuchs, Rollon, Servotronix, Sick, Weiss, YSR and many others. Well-known international and domestic industry brands participating for the first time include Bernstein, Elesa-Ganter, ERNI, Leetro, SCHMID, Sigmatek and Syntec.

The show is a unique platform that helps professionals enter China’s sophisticated manufacturing market and also accommodates growing demand within the industrial automation industry. Occupying four halls, the fair will dedicate Hall 2.1 to robotics and machine vision. Halls 3.1 and 4.1 will contain IPCs, industrial and communication software, automated production and processing solutions, as well as electrical and mechanical systems. Finally, Hall 5.1 will be dedicated to sensors and measurement technologies from prominent industry leaders.
