KISSsoft USA Hires Engineering Manager

March 8, 2016

KISSsoft USA, LLC recently announced that Ty Warner has joined the company as engineering manager. Warner is a licensed professional engineer with 18 years of product development experience including drivetrains in consumer goods, off-road/agricultural machinery, automated processing equipment and sanitation system design. He holds a bachelor’s of engineering degree in advanced materials, mechanical engineering from Winona State University and has been awarded patents for high performance off road machinery in transmission and suspension applications. In 1998 Warner began his career with TRW Automotive Electronics as a product design engineer working on HVAC servo actuators and solving NVH problems using Pulse software. In 2002, he joined Polaris Industries as a drivetrain systems engineer and later as a powertrain engineer where he led snowmobile and ATV transmission design. While at Polaris he launched a new four stroke forward/reverse transmission and assisted in the design and delivery of a revolutionary suspension configuration. Both projects were awarded U.S. patents.

In 2007, while at Bretting Mfg., Warner shifted focus to large paper converting machinery. He spent most of his time in an R&D role designing vacuum timing rolls, non-standard gearing used in extreme environments and large rotational dynamics of large converting rolls. He also provided GD&T training for the engineering staff. Warner joined the US Public Health Service (USPHS) in 2010 as commissioned corps officer. As an active duty engineer in the USPHS, he was detailed to the Indian Health Service and was responsible for leading all phases of planning, design, contracting and construction of sanitation facilities. As an officer, Warner communicated with multiple federal agencies and Indian Nations to ensure program delivery and project success.  Warner founded Tyka Engineering, LLC in 2013 where he is responsible for consulting design, development and analysis of advanced drivetrains, structural components in machinery and consumer goods.

Additionally, KISSsoft USA LLC has announced the dates for its training classes May 2-4 and June 7-9. The emphasis of the training is on the usage of KISSsoft software and exercises executed by the participants. In addition some basic theory will be discussed in order to develop an understanding of the technical terms used in the software. The general scope of the program includes general settings, maintenance of technology data base, settings and adaptations for reports, possibilities of project administration and the generation and application of calculation templates.
