SKF Acquires Taiwanese Linear Motion Company

SKF signed an agreement to acquire ABBA Linear Tech Co., an Taiwanese manufacturer of profile rail guides.
The ABBA Group is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan and has aditional facilities throughout Taiwan and China.
According to SKF's press release, ABBA will become part of the SKF Actuation and Motion Control business unit within the Industrial Division. SKF hopes the new product range will strengthen its different technology platforms for Asian growth.
The acquisition is subjection to completion by ABBA's controlling shareholders and relevant regulatory approvals. The transactions is expected to be finalized during the second quarter of this year.
