Lower Your Maintenance Costs
Set screws can damage shafts and tend to loosen and slip during clutching and braking. Mechanical shrink fit providing uniform surface contact ensures no relative movement or loss of torque capacity over extended periods, reducing machine down time and maintenance costs.
The new gearbox generation uses a differential
No more switching gears The motor can be kept running at constant speed – all the time. Higher efficiency Even a small motor can produce a very high starting torque The system is reversible (dynamic braking) Cheaper to build

Tsubaki Smart Tooth: Pinpoint Sprocket Wear
Now, you can eliminate the guesswork associated with worn sprockets and schedule maintenance before critical component failure occurs. These patented Wear Indicator Pins provide visual indication if your sprocket is within allowable wear tolerance or needs to be replaced. You can identify easily when it’s time to change your sprockets.
ACE Offers Regenerative Low-Voltage Drives for DC Motors
American Control Electronics (ACE) introduces the DCR300-60 and DCR600-60 Series, microprocessor based, low voltage PWM drives for brushed DC motors up to 24 and 48 VDC, respectively. The microprocessor allows for custom programming to fit specific OEM requirements, potentially eliminating the need for a PLC and supporting devices. Drives can be easily programmed for use in the field without trim pots, saving time and money on installation, calibration, and field support.
Igus Quick-Fill Energy Chain Developed for Unsupported Lengths and Long Travels
Igus has introduced its new E4Q energy chain, which can be opened and closed in seconds without tools and has been specifically developed for the special requirements of unsupported lengths and long travels. Igus, the Germany-based manufacturer of motion plastics, unveiled a prototype of the new E4Q in April at Hannover Messe. The chain links have a smooth, contoured design and a completely new crossbar concept with locking straps for weight reduction.
